Privacy Policy
How Verify Email Address handles account and verification data.
Last updated: 2026-07-31
Overview
Verify Email Address helps you assess whether an email address is likely to receive mail. This policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
Email Addresses You Check
When you use the email checker, the address is processed to evaluate syntax, domain, MX, disposable, spam-trap, role-account, SMTP, and available mailbox signals. The signals used depend on whether you are signed in and which checks the receiving mail system makes available.
Signed-in users may also submit email lists for batch verification.
Single checks performed through the public web checker are not written to our application database. For a batch task, we store the submitted addresses, verification results, progress, and timestamps so the task remains available after a refresh. A batch task is accessible only to the account that created it and is automatically deleted 30 days after creation. Authenticated developer API calls may be logged with the submitted address, returned result, status, credit usage, and request metadata so the account owner can review usage and we can operate, secure, and support the API.
Other Information We Collect
We may process:
- Account information: When you continue with Google, Google provides the name, email address, profile image, and account identifier needed to create and operate your account. Google handles authentication; we do not receive or store your Google password.
- Service usage: Daily verification counts, batch task and developer API usage records, timestamps, error events, and security signals needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.
- Device and interaction information: Browser and device type, approximate network information, page navigation, clicks, scrolling, and other interaction signals used for compatibility, security, service analytics, and usability improvements.
- Cookies: Session and preference cookies used for sign-in, language, and theme settings, plus analytics cookies where permitted and enabled.
- Support messages: Information you submit when contacting support.
- Payment and subscription information: When you start or manage a paid plan, we may process your billing email, selected plan, order, customer, subscription and invoice identifiers, amount, currency, payment status, and related transaction metadata. Payment card details are collected and processed by Creem as our merchant of record and are not stored by us.
We do not sell personal information.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide email verification and account features.
- Protect the service from automated abuse and excessive requests.
- Maintain security, diagnose errors, and improve reliability.
- Understand how public pages are used through aggregated analytics, heatmaps, and masked session recordings so we can improve usability.
- Respond to support requests and service notices.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Service Providers
We use Google OAuth for account authentication, Creem for payment and subscription processing, Google Analytics for traffic measurement, and Microsoft Clarity for behavioral analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings on public pages. Sensitive form values and email addresses are configured for masking in Clarity, and private account, administration, authentication, payment, and private batch-result pages are excluded from direct Clarity initialization. We also use service providers for email verification, hosting, and support. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their service and process it under their own terms and our applicable agreements.
Retention
Public web-checker addresses and results are not retained in our application database. Batch addresses and results are retained for 30 days so the task owner can revisit the private result page, then automatically deleted. Developer API usage records are retained with the account for usage history, billing, security, and support purposes. Daily counters may be retained to enforce limits. Account records are kept while your account is active and for a limited period afterward when required for security, legal, or operational reasons. Order, subscription, invoice, and transaction records may be retained as required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, chargeback, and legal obligations.
Security
We use encrypted transport, access controls, secret encryption where configured, and operational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal information. You may also close your account. Contact us through the support channel on the website to submit a request.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product and legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
